New York Times reporter Kim Barker, author of “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” with Tina Fey, will Speak at Charity Luncheon at the Polo Club on March 24th .  

The Sixth Annual Boca Raton Event Will Benefit National Jewish Health, the Nation’s leading Respiratory Hospital.

The luncheon includes talk by Barker, silent auction and luncheon.  Barker joined The New York Times as the metro reporter, specializing in investigative reporting.

Before joining The Times, she was the South Asia bureau chief for The Chicago Tribune, where she was based in New Delhi and Islamabad. Her book “The Taliban Shuffle”, a dark comedic take on her time in South Asia, was adapted into the movie “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” starring Tina Fey. 

Barker has received awards including the front page award for journalist of the year, Newswomen’s Club of NY 2015 and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit National Jewish Health, known for their innovative research and treatment of lung disease and heart disease.
