JD Danner returns to Arts Garage for an evening of stories and songs, featuring the music that defines the 70s by iconic artists such as Carly Simon, Carole King, Stevie Nicks, Janis Ian, Joan Jett and many others. Adding to the mix, JD will be performing her own award winning music!

From Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe to Lucas Oil Stadium for an NFL half-time show for the Indianapolis Colts, out and proud singer/songwriter JD Danner has been captivating audiences delivering her relatable lyrics with unbridled passion, grace and grit on stages nationally and globally. She has rocked Pride festivals and LGBTQ events throughout the US for over the past two decades. Additionally, JD has toured performing at US military bases both in the United States and overseas. Her style has been dubbed Joan Jett meets Johnny Cash.
Most recently in February 2022, JD signed as an artist/songwriter with Pennybank Tunes Music based in Paris, France. Pennybank Tunes places music in film, television and commercials.January 2021, JD released her critically acclaimed new single titled, “Nothing But Faith” which was loosely based on life during the pandemic.
In August 2020 JD launched a podcast with co-host Denise Warner (former co-host of the legendary Lesbian Lounge podcast). The podcast, called “The Rainbow Remix” is broadcast on MyLesbianRadio.Podbean.com. Dubbed “the most socially distanced podcast” with JD in South Florida and Denise is in London, UK. Their guests include game-changer lesbians such ascomedian Suzanne Westenhoefer, filmmaker Christin Baker and television actress MIchelle Bonilla of “ER” and “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.”
In October 2020, JD’s version of Janis Ian’s song titled, “Better Times Will” was chosen toy Janis Ian herself to be on Janis’ website – BetterTimesWillCome.com .
JD performed as the first ever and only house band for the Florida Panther’s hockey team for the 2015-2016 season. Additionally she was commissioned to write the anthem for the team titled, “Go Cats Go.”
A career highlight was when she was invited to perform her own song, “Thanks To The Brave” at the Veteran’s Day halftime show for the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. That song was also chosen by NFL Cheerleaders for them to perform on their USO tour.
With a philanthropic heart JD is deeply determined to give back to others through the power of music, She has partnered with a variety of non-profit organizations benefitting LGBTQ youth, animal rescues and organizations assisting victims of domestic violence. Proceeds from her song “Shelter From The Shame” benefit various women’s charities and domestic violence awareness groups.
