The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) and Stuart Isaacson, M.D. – Medical Director, PD and Movement Disorders Center of Boca Raton –invite you to attend a presentation on developments in Parkinson’s disease (PD) genetic research. Like HEXA in Tay-Sachs and BRCA in breast cancer, a gene called LRRK2 can lead to Parkinson’s disease in Ashkenazi Jews. New data on PD genetics could arm researchers with a whole new set of tools to diagnose and even treat PD earlier, potentially revolutionizing drug development for PD and other neurological disorders.  Family and friends impacted by PD are encouraged to attend. To RSVP and learn more about these genetic factors and research updates, please log on to www.michaeljfox.org/BocaGeneticStudy. For more information, please call 561-392-1818 ext. 6 or email researchpartnerships@michaeljfox.org.
