The Benjamin School Theatre Company presents Into the Woods on Friday, February 27, at 6:30 PM, and Saturday, February 28, at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM.
Directed by Jason Peck and Alana Arco Peck, the Upper School cast (grades 9-12) will take the audience on a darkly enchanting musical journey. When a Baker and his Wife venture into the woods to break a witch's curse, they encounter Cinderella fleeing the ball, Jack climbing toward a giant's castle, Little Red Riding Hood facing the Big Bad Wolf, and Rapunzel yearning for freedom. Their fairy tales intertwine in unexpected and magical ways, revealing that getting what you wish for is only the beginning.
Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved musical weaves classic stories into an adventure perfect for the whole family. It's a tale packed with humor, heart, and unforgettable songs. With its lush, intricate score and timeless characters, Into the Woods reminds us that "no one is alone" as we face life's challenges together.
