The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach is spearheading a beach clean up on SAT/ November 21st—we are cleaning in partnership with St. Mark’s school, environmental club at Freedom Shores elementary and Lourdes Ferris of Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful. We are working from 8:00AM – 10:00AM and also inviting one of not-for-profit groups, SOS Children’s’ Village to join us. Community Footprints is one our Ritz-Carlton key initiatives for community support and involvement, so we are helping to keep the beaches beautiful, while partnering with a great group and reaching out to SOS Village, so the kids can enjoy a day out of giving back also. Years ago, one of the science teachers with St. Marks saw an announcement of the International Beach clean up event that was sponsored by KPBCB and decided that this would be a great incentive for students to get a few extra points in class and especially to be together to honor our beaches. One of our team has a child in St. Marks school and initiated the partnership to clean the Lantana Beach. Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful and Lourdes supplies all of the tools needed to clean and then some... The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach will be selling hats, t-shirts and fanny backs to benefit the Community Footprints program at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach. We expect over 100 school kids/families and RCPB Ladies and Gentlemen to participate and volunteer their time to this worthy cause. Molley’s Trolley’s is providing complimentary shuttle service for participants of the beach clean-up! Starting at 8:00AM, participants will be dropped at Lake Worth Pier for clean –up and the rest of the group will be deployed to the inlet… all helpers will then work / walk their way back to The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach.
