This hands-on workshop is all about exploring in-depth the dramatic world of creative possibilities opened up by shooting in Infrared! With the advent of digital cameras being able to be converted to shoot the IR spectrum, what was once an incredibly difficult and very UNcreative process (ever try composing, focusing and metering through a piece of black glass???), has now become a wonderfully simple job of Point and Shoot. But the question is How DO you shoot this entirely new world (Lighting? Tripod?, Bracket?, White Balance?), and once you do, what’s the best way to Optimize and Enhance your masterpiece (How to get the best tonal range? Edge Exaggeration? Digital Hand Tint? Glow and Noise Effects?)?

The goal of this workshop is to guide you through different in-field Shooting techniques and in-lab Photoshop techniques, leading to the creation of your perfect Infrared image - both landscape and portrait. Actually, most enhancing of IR photography is best done in Photoshop’s Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom - both of which will be demonstrated and used in class. Jack was one of the pioneers of digital infrared (having started long before there even was such a thing as IR conversions) and has shot extensively all around the world in IR - and would NEVER leave home without an IR camera at hand!
Wether you are a professional photographer wanting to add IR to your commercial options, or you are a passionate photo addict wanting your creative mind blown - or you are BOTH!, this workshop is for you!
