Opening Friday November 5, 6 PM to 9 PM On Friday evening, November 5 from 6-10 P.M. Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery will celebrate Motorcycles and the roles they play in the art and fabric of our communities and neighborhoods. Joe Dzwill, sculptor, painter and Motorcycle designer and builder will host the evening along with Harley-Davidson Motorcycles of Palm Beach. Harley-Davidson will present a custom motorcycle display outside the gallery. Artist Joe Dzwill will be air-brush painting tattoos, helmits, jackets and any other items presented him to be worked on. Any funds raised will be donated to a local charity. Lake Worth may well be the capitol of Motorcycle enthusiasts who pour into the town every Thursday evening for Bike Night on Lake Avenue. Extending Thursday into Friday night will allow for a full exhibit of what is possible when art, function and design merge. On Friday evening ice cold beer will be on tap to donate to anyone who purchases one of the hundreds of hand-made ceramic mugs from the artists in the gallery. Beer will also be offered in paper cups to those who decline the purchase of the mugs. Joseph Dwzill is an award winning air-brush artist and a sculptor/painter whose work adorns the walls and halls of some of the finest residences in Palm Beach and Palm Beach County. His large sculptural creations make a lyrical statement which transmutes to funk, then to power. For decades he has played with the art of the motorcycle creating paintings, drawings and sculpture that reflect his love of the bike. His works have been published widely in the magazines of bike aficionados. He will often use motorcycle elements at structural parts of his sculptures. His installation of a sculptural “Oil Rig” spilling its contents over the sands in front of the gallery in October drew hundreds of spectators eager to photograph scene. The motorcycle spectacular expects to draw the same interest as visual arts intertwine with the art of motorcycle design and construction. A wine and cheese tasting takes place at every opening. Clay•Glass•Metal•Stone Cooperative Gallery is sponsored by the Flamingo Clay Studio, a non-profit arts organization whose mission is to provide affordable studio and gallery space for three-dimensional artists. The gallery is located at 605 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth. Gallery openings are the first and third Friday of each month from 6-9PM. For information call 215-205-9441.
