The Benjamin School Theatre Company presents the Pulitzer Prize drama finalist Here There Are Blueberries on Friday, November 7, at 6:30 PM and Saturday, November 8, at 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM.

What does it mean to witness joy on the edge of atrocity? And how do we reckon with the disturbing normalcy of those who commit great crimes? The Benjamin School’s production of this play invites audience members to step into that moment of confrontation—to become archivists, witnesses, and questioners. Directed by Jason Peck, the Upper School cast (grades 9-12) will turn the stage into a living archive of a photo album in the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum: engaging both the heart and mind in a revelation about the perpetrators of the Holocaust, and our own humanity.

Tectonic Theater Project’s Here There Are Blueberries is based on real events and was written by Moisés Kaufman and Amanda Gronich. The Benjamin School is the first high school in the country to be granted rights to perform this play and the first production of the play in Palm Beach County.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets will go on sale soon at thebenjaminschool.org
