Hanukkah Candle Lighting Ceremony at Old School Square on December 11, 2009 A candle lighting ceremony marking the beginning of Hanukkah will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 5:00 pm on the grounds of Old School Square (corner of Atlantic and NE 1st Avenues). The ceremony will be conducted by Mayor Nelson S. "Woodie" McDuffie and Sandy Perlman, father of former Mayor Jeff Perlman. Other local elected officials are expected to attend. Pat Brandano of Brandano Displays Inc., is donating the use of a 6' x 8' lit Menorah for this year's ceremony. The community is invited to attend.
