The damage from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill to the ocean, ecosystem, Gulf coast residents, and the economy will be felt for decades to come in the Gulf and here in Florida.       Wonder what YOU can do to get involved or make a difference?   Join Greenpeace and local activists on Saturday, October 23rd at the Cottage in downtown Lake Worth from 3 pm to 8 pm for a day of education and opportunity!  Enjoy special musical performances by Sassafrass, environmental musical activists from the Gulf coast and local musicians Jamie Rasso and Philip Labes.  Guest speakers include State Representative Mark Pafford, District 88, Emily Nell Lagerquist, Executive Director of Kids Ecology Corp., and Randy Rosado, a motivational speaker.    Interact with eco-friendly vendors like Greenpeace, Environment Florida, Oceana, Recycle Bin Buggy, Gemini Moon Designs, and G3 Give Green Gifts, Inc., Florida Atlantic Student Sociology Association, and PalmBeach HammerHeads to see how you can get involved to ensure that an economic and environmental disaster like the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill never happens again.  There will be chances to win some great prizes!    Proceeds from the event will support water, blood, air, and soil testing for residents of the Florida and Alabama panhandle whose health has been impacted by the disaster.    For more information, please contact me at (561) 632-1999. Best Regards, Tracy Hyde Greenpeace Senior Lead Activist greenpeacelw@gmail.com (561) 632-1999
