Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery celebrates this holiday season by collecting a wide variety of art supplies for the children of Lake Worth Public Schools.  On Friday, December 16 from 6-9 PM the gallery becomes a drop-off point for arts gifts for local children.  Arts education in the Public Schools adds a critical dimension to the lives of children and their ability to function and enjoy the society into which they emerge.  So many children, for lack of proper funding, are relegated to crayons, pencils and paper.  They deserve so much more.  Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery is asking visitors to the gallery to bring paints, brushes, scissors, pastels, specialty papers, clays and any other supplies they think might make a child’s art experience special.  Funding for supplies is welcome as well.  The gallery will match all contributions made during the month of December.

Clay Glass Metal Stone artists have worked together to make holiday displays throughout the gallery.  They are filled with affordable, one-of-a-kind gifts.  New artists are bringing a special dimension to the gallery. Light artist, Joseph Francis, creates computerized lighting designs from columns that dance to music to infinity boxes, only an inch deep, but with light that seems to stretch for miles.  Handmade ornaments of every nature hang from the walls.  Candle lit menorahs are in abundance.  Unique serving pieces for your holiday dinners are tucked into every corner of the gallery.  Wall art and sculpture abound. Jewelry is everywhere in the gallery.  This is a special place for a special season.

Outside the Gallery local musicians Mel & Vinnie will be playing from their vast repertory of melodies and songs.  They are often joined by local musicians and friends.  Come and sing along.

Clay§Glass§Metal§Stone Cooperative Gallery is sponsored by the Flamingo Clay Studio, a non-profit arts organization whose mission is to provide affordable studio and gallery space for three-dimensional artists.  The gallery is located at 605 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth. Hours are Sunday thru Tuesday, 9AM-5PM. Wednesday thru Saturday, 9AM-9PM.   Gallery openings are the first and third Friday of each month from 6-9 PM with many special events in-between.  For information call 561-588-8344 or visit website Clayglassmetalstone.com.
