Future Careers Expo to be held at South Florida Fairgrounds Thursday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is a good time to stop by the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach to participate in the Future Careers Expo. The event is one of the most innovative expos in South Florida. A team of some of the world’s brightest minds will help visitors learn what it takes to be prepared for opportunities and challenges of the future. The fair is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Admission is free. Morning session: 9 a.m. – noon - Speakers will highlight regional and national industry experts and provide information on new technical jobs for future careers. Afternoon Session: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. - This session is for Community Services clients and the public. Step into the future with high-tech demonstrations, flight simulations and other innovative activities that will stretch the mind into action. Clients will also have an opportunity to sign up for individual and family benefits such as CSBG and LIHEAP, free or reduced prescription programs, Life-Line/Link-Up, etc. Partnering with Palm Beach County are agencies from Broward and Miami-Dade counties.
