Lecture | Friends of the Uffizi

Join the Friends of the Uffizi for an enlightening lecture by Dr. Emily Fenichel, Michelangelo's Final Period: Collaboration, Experimentation, and Meditation. This lecture will explore the lesser-known aspects of the great artist's final years, marked by his collaborations with other artists, experimental techniques and iconographies, and a unique combination of art and meditation to save his soul.

Drawing from her forthcoming book, Dr. Fenichel, Associate Professor of Art History at FAU and the Arquin Slide Collection Digitization Project Co-Director, will offer new insights and interpretations of familiar and little-known works from Michelangelo's final period.
