Event Description

Perhaps the most underrated museum in Florence, the Opera del Duomo Museum has a truly spectacular collection of Renaissance Sculpture. The best sculptors in Italy - Donatello, Nanni di Banco, Luca della Robbia, and Michelangelo - all worked to help decorate Florence’s cathedral, which was under continuous construction for several hundred years. It is their works that make up the core of the Opera del Duomo’s collection and the subject of this talk. Together, we will explore the artists and works which once adorned the most famous building in Florence.
Members: Free, Non-Members: $12 (price includes admission).
Seating is limited. Online tickets suggested.
