Beatriz has performed and recorded with Brazilian musical luminaries such as Chico Buarque, Al Di Meola, Roberto Menescal (considered one of the fathers of Bossa Nova), Nestor Torres (with whom she collaborated in his “Dances, Prayers and Meditations” CD and a composition for the Miami Children’s Chorus, “Successors”), and many others. In the U.S., she has performed and recorded with Brazilian jazz drumming legend Duduka da Fonseca, jazz pianists Mike Renzi and Mike Orta, jazz bassist Don Wilner, and many others.
Beatriz is the co-director and founder of the 30-voice all-female vocal group Brazilian Voices, a non-profit community service organization that performs and records in the South Florida area and internationally. With Beatriz’s direction, this group won 11 Brazilian International Press Awards for Outstanding Brazilian Group in the U.S.
