Cooperative Extension Hosts Free Workshop on Senate Bill 2080 and Florida-Friendly Landscaping™
A free 90-minute workshop covering Senate Bill 2080 and Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ will be presented by the University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, Palm Beach County Extension’s Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Program. Discussion will include the bill’s changes regarding fertilizer use, irrigation and landscaping practices that were adopted in 2009.
When: Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010
Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Palm Beach County Extension, Mounts Auditorium, 531 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415 (directly across from the airport)
The workshop will help homeowner and community association residents and board members, landscape committee members, and property managers understand what the legislation means and what resources are available to assist them.
Attendees will also learn how other communities have had success with Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ design and maintenance principles, while maintaining a pleasing community aesthetic. There will be plenty of time for questions.
