Lorraine Marks, the orchestra’s vibrant and talented conductor, remarked that, “It is so nice for the members of the orchestra to be recognized by the State of Florida, Palm Beach County and the City of Boca Raton.  Our players have been volunteering their time for the past seven years in order to create an orchestra that the entire community can be proud of.  We span the ages, from nine to ninety-two with players from diverse backgrounds and interests.  They are a community treasure and I am so fond of all of them.”
The February 26th concert will feature, among other works, a tribute to Duke Ellington, and My Fair Lady.  Ms Marks remarked, “We may sprinkle a little Mozart here and there, as well as some more contemporary composers.” As usual, the “Boston Pops” type orchestra will put together an eclectic program with a little something for everybody.
