Public Invited to View “Climate Refugees”  

Film Presentation & Panel Discussion on Climate Change Awareness

 

The Delray Beach Public Library and The City of Delray Beach invites the public to an evening screening of the film Climate Refugees to promote climate change awareness and sustainable solutions on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 5:00pm through 8:00pm, in the Delray Beach Library Auditorium, 100 W. Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444. The event is free and open to the public.

 

Climate Refugees is an award-winning film that details the devastating impact that climate change can have upon millions of people globally. Following the movie showing, a panel of local experts will be present to address residents’ questions and concerns about how their local leaders are reacting to and preparing for the threat of climate change. The panel, moderated by Delray Beach Public Information and Sustainability Officer Richard Reade, is scheduled to include:

 

  • Paul Dorling, Delray Beach Planning and Zoning Director
  • Erin Deady, Esq., Counsel to Corbett, White & Davis, P.A.
  • Representative of Emergency Management/Fire Rescue
