Fifth-Degree Master Instructor Brings Karate to the Civic Center

Boynton Beach, FL…The City of Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department and Master Horner, a marital arts teacher for over 15 years, are excited to offer this new program that will teach students self-control, respect, and the physical and mental skills for self defense! Karate begins on September 8, 2009 and each session will run for 6-weeks. Classes: 3-3:30 p.m. Little Dragons, ages 3-5; 3:45-4:30 p.m. Youth, ages 6-10; 5-5:45 p.m. Pre-teens/Teens, ages 11-18. Fees: $144NR;$115R Registration begins on August 19 for residents, August 26 for non-residents. Register by September 1 to receive a free uniform – a savings of $30! Proof of residency and child’s birth certificate required for first time registrants. Registration is taken at Intracoastal Park Clubhouse, 2240 North Federal Highway, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday; and 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
