The Festival of the Arts BOCA will host a special pre-festival concert featuring award-winning jazz vocalist Zoë Fromer with the Henry Mancini Institute Jazz Quintet, followed by a reception to announce the 10th Anniversary line-up on Friday, November 13 at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center, 201 Plaza Real in Boca Raton.Tickets are $20 per person and are available at www.festivalboca.com or 866-571-2787 The performance by the all-star group of musicians led by vocalist Zoë Fromer will feature a wide range of music from jazz standards such as Autumn Leaves and Embraceable You to contemporary hits including Just The Two Of Us and A House Is Not A Home.“We are planning an extraordinary line-up to celebrate the Festival’s 10th installment,” said Charlie Siemon, co-founder and co-producer. “We have much to be proud of throughout our decade of bringing the best and brightest in dance, classical music, performing arts, and literature to Boca Raton.”Zoë Fromer started her jazz career singing for the big band at nationally–acclaimed Atlantic Community High School. During this time, she played many local festivals and venues, which gave her the experience and exposure to win first place in the 2013 Palm Beach Post Pathfinder category for vocal music. Fromer is known for her mature, warm voice and her emotional attention to the lyrics which speaks beyond her years.Fromer has played in Austin, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Boca Raton, where she opened for Natalie Cole. She has performed with contemporary jazz luminaries such as Justin Faulkner, Pete Rodriguez, James Francies, and Dean Shelly Berg of the Frost School of Music. With her unique sound and dedication to her craft, Fromer is one of the rising stars on today’s music scene.In 2013, Fromer was offered a full scholarship to attend the University Of Miami Frost School Of Music, where she is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in jazz vocal performance. In 2015, she was part of the school’s JVII vocal ensemble, which won the Downbeat award for Undergraduate Small Vocal Ensemble. She still remains active on the South Florida jazz scene, and also teaches voice and piano at Miami's Live! Modern School of Music.The 10th Annual Festival of the Arts Boca will be presented March 4 – 16, 2016 by the Schmidt Family Centre for the Arts at the Mizner Park Amphitheater, 500 Plaza Real and Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center, 201 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, Florida.
