WHAT: DOWNTOWN BOCA “FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE!” MONTHLY THEMED ENTERTAINMENT SERIES

Continuing independence week celebration, the Downtown Boca Friday Night LIVE! monthly entertainment series presented by JM Lexus hosts a free, open-to-the-public patriotic in-the-park picnic-style evening with the NHL’s Florida Panthers “Panthers Patrol” playtime complete with an 88-foot-long street hockey rink, live Americana-infused entertainment and the family film “Miracle” starring Kurt Russell. The ever-popular Gourmet Truck Expo will be serving up street-side easy-to-grab picnic-style culinary fare with café seating, including American barbeque favorites such as hamburgers, hot dogs and more.

The “Panthers Patrol” will be leading the fun with interactive activities for children, including its unique Panthers Obstacle Course, the always-popular bounce house and the Party Mobile, a “tricked-out” interactive gaming mobile fully equipped with flat-screen TVs and Playstation 3 gaming systems. Local talent Kendra Fulmer, a former winner and finalist in the annual Boca Raton Future Stars Performing Arts Competition, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. to pump up national pride with family sing-a-long patriotic songs. At dusk, “Miracle”, the true story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team victory over the seemingly invincible Russian squad, will take “center screen”.

Monthly Friday Night LIVE! evenings include gourmet truck dining with café seating, extended hours at participating businesses with special sidewalk tastings, samplings, trunk shows, dining specials, menu items and discounts and often late night "after parties" for exploring and enjoying the destination, from Mizner Park to Royal Palm Place, including the signature collection of shops and boutiques, restaurants and galleries along Palmetto Park Road and Plaza Real South.
