Arts Garage productions present DIVAS IN ART Delray’s newest CABARET
Arts Garage in downtown Delray Beach is opening its doors for an exciting evening of passion, art, and performance. The multi-disciplinary cultural hub for visual arts, musicians, performing artists, and arts educators will be hosting the event, DIVAS IN ART on Sunday, August 28th from 7pm-9pm. This evening will feature the fabulous art exhibition of Jay DePalma along with dazzling female illusionists/ \impersonators, Ricky Rollick, Melissa St. John, and Roxie Devine. A showcase of exquisite art, wine bar, and cabaret style entertainment, that will keep you laughing, inspired, and moved to bring your friends back to each last Sunday of the months ongoing event. Program Manager, Matthew Farmer created the concept behind the Divas In Art Cabaret to bring the culture of live female impersonator performance alongside exquisite art work. Beginning in the 1880’s, the cabaret movement began in Paris’ bohemia. “The word cabaret may evoke smoke-filled drunkenness and radical satire, or perhaps a French-cancan dancers' floorshow. “But the novelty at the time was that multimedia art was being shared with the public. “This aspect of art and performance when giving the chance, is what I want to implement.”

Artist Jay DePalma states, “Collaborating in the concept and design for this event alongside Executive Director Alyona Ushe and Matthew Farmer, Program Manager, has been a joyful and exciting experience for me. They are the perfect pair to lead the Arts Garage into one of Delray Beach’s most thought after entertainment venues.” The evening of art and performance will conclude around 9pm in which the party will move to Tag Bar – 25 NE 2nd Ave. Delray Beach.
