January 5, 2011, Delray Historical Day Trip
The day will be spent with Dottie Paterson, Archivist with the Delray Beach Historical Society, for a tour of Delray Beach's hidden treasures, museums and world famous beach. The tour will start off with a guided walk through the lush, tropical gardens of the historic Sundy House. Here you will sample fruits and wild leaves with all kinds of fun flavors and tastes.  Lunch will be served at the Upperdeck at Boston's on the Beach and the menu includes your choice of: crab cakes, Mahi Mahi sandwich, cheeseburger or a chicken Caesar salad as well as a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage.

The cost for the trip is $20.00 per person for Delray Beach Residents and $25 for non-residents and includes a guided tour, transportation, admission to the various museums and gardens and lunch. The bus will leave Veterans Park, 802 N.E. 1st Street, Delray Beach, FL  33484 (Atlantic Avenue and the Intracoastal), at 9:30 am and return at 4:00 pm. Advanced reservations and payments are required. Space is limited.
