Dane Johansen: The cellist of the Escher String Quartet this month will walk the almost 600-mile ancient route to the Santiago da Compostela in Spain, performing the six cello suites of J.S. Bach in the old churches along the route. But before he heads overseas, he’ll stop by the Café Boulud in Palm Beach’s Brazilian Court Hotel for a fundraiser that’s been added to the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach season.  You can hear him play Bach beginning at 7 p.m.; the event starts with cocktails at 6 p.m. Tickets are $125; call 379-6773. Johansen’s site about his journey is www.walktofisterra.com.
