The Palm Beach County community is coming together to help the less fortunate in Nicaragua. A large volunteer group have joined forces to promote a fun-filled week-end to raise funds to build homes for the poorest of poor in Nicaragua.Under the auspices of Cross International, an interdenominational Christian relief and development organization, the first annual Cross International Ball and Golf Classic, will be held Jan. 23-24 at the Atlantis Golf Club. Cross International is working in more than two dozen countries in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Latin American to assist the less fortunate.Open to the public, the charity event kicks off with a golf tournament and awards banquet on Friday, Jan. 23, followed by a formal gala dinner and auction Saturday evening Jan. 24.
