CRA to Celebrate New Plaza with Ribbon Cutting The Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) invites the community to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 24th at 5:00 pm to commemorate the completion of the West Atlantic public plaza, located at 2 SW 5th Avenue. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, local radio personality "James T" will emcee the entertainment for Art & Jazz on the Avenue, which begins at 6:00 pm. The free event will include live music by Joe Wright and the Pure Justice Band, live art demonstrations and appetizers for the public. The plaza, on the southwest corner of the West Atlantic Avenue and SW 5th Avenue intersection, features a covered platform stage and specialized lighting to accommodate concerts, festivals and other community events. Its colorful pattern of paver bricks and terrazzo complement the distinct streetscape designs along Historic Fifth Avenue and help make it a unique destination along the West Atlantic Avenue corridor. The West Atlantic Redevelopment Coalition will offer special promotions from area merchants, and the CRA will kick off its 25-year anniversary celebration during the event.
