The West Palm Beach Garden Club will hear about Coral Reef Restoration at its meeting Monday, Nov. 9, in Palm Springs. Speaker will be research scientist Ken Nedimyer, founder and president of the Coral Reef Foundation.The nonprofit Coral Reef Foundation, based in Key Largo, is dedicated to creating offshore coral nurseries and restoration programs for critically endangered reefs. Among other recognition and awards, Nedimyer has been named Disney Worldwide Conservation Hero in 2014, “Scuba Diving” Magazine Sea Hero of the Year in 2014, and a CNN hero in 2012.The Garden Club meeting begins at 10 a.m. and is held at the Palm Springs Library, 217 Cypress Lane. It is free and open to the public.
