Continuing the Museum’s Conversations that Matter series, this fall focuses on biodiversity conservation. The conversation highlights Peru, with its diverse environment of dry coasts, highlands, jungle, cloud forests, and Amazon rainforest, and the strides taken to document, maintain, and improve the region. These efforts impact the entire world.
Panelists include:
• Dr. Francisco Dallmeier, Director of the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute’s Center for Conservation and Sustainability. Dallmeier shares his global experience in conservation; planning biodiversity-friendly working landscapes and prioritizing sustainable infrastructure.
• José Koechlin, Inkaterra Founder & CEO. Koechlin discusses his 46 years as a pioneer in the ecotourism industry and Inkaterra’s commitment to sustainable development through its hotel properties and research/conservation foundation.
