This program highlights the talents of The SYMPHONIA’s string players in Mozart's memorable Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola. l In his youthful First Symphony, Prokofiev was inspired by the classical symphonies of Haydn, but he filled the work with clever twists and turns. l Bizet's only Symphony, with its beautiful melodies and imaginative orchestration, looks forward to his opera Carmen.
