Join the entire community at the City of West Palm Beach Veterans Day Parade & Lifestyle Festival on Sunday, November 10 in downtown West Palm Beach as we honor our veterans and celebrate the lifestyle that we are afforded because of their service!

The Veterans Day Parade, produced each year by the Palm Beach County Veterans Committee begins at 2 p.m. and travels from west to east on Clematis ending at the Lifestyle Festival on Flagler Drive. Expect veteran’s organizations and individuals, marching bands, JROTCs, Cub Scouts, The Shriners, car clubs, cheerleaders and more. The parade is geared towards the community and will be a true tribute to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country!

The Lifestyle Festival will be held from 12 noon - 5 p.m. on the City Commons lawn overlooking the scenic intracoastal. Fun activities are planned for the whole family and attendees can expect great music, speakers, food and vendors providing information on services as well as items for sale.

This year’s event will feature live entertainment on the main stage including the soothing sounds of local singer Lisa Dellarossa, The Colony Hotel’s Rob Russell with a Neil Diamond tribute, The Arts Garage Jazz Band and baritone Lou Galterio with his special rendition of several patriotic songs in honor of Veterans Day. Also appearing will be local dignitaries in a special tribute to veterans, children’s dance and cheerleading groups.

Other activities include speakers on a variety of topics including women’s health from Jupiter Medical Center and Pop culture columnist Leslie Gray Streeter from the Palm Beach Post; entertainment just for the kids from Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Café and Gym Like Us!; fitness experts who will be demonstrating various forms of exercise; and over 60 business, non-profit and veterans’ booths with information as well as products and services for sale. A sampling of those in attendance include: Jupiter Medical Center, Primus Health Network, South Florida Radiation Oncology, Banana Nut Heads, Two Men and a Truck, Comprehensive Health Management Wellcare, Caregiver Services, Inc., Lake Worth Gold Mine, Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Metro PCS, Palm Beach Kennel Club, Dr. Steckler, AAA, Waterway Cafe and the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.

No festival is complete without festival food favorites and you won’t be disappointed. The food court includes Jupiter’s own Chowder Heads with lobster rolls, clam chowder and more; TocToc arepas which are yummy corn cakes with savory fillings and cheese; McCray’s BBQ with chicken, ribs and pulled pork; and food truck favorites Pizza trolley, Farmhouse Food Truck and 4 Alarm Pizza which is served from a vintage fire truck. Put them and a few others together with plenty of ice cold beverages from Potions in Motion to wash it all down and we promise your taste buds won’t be disappointed.

Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking available at City of West Palm Beach garages. This annual event will raise funds for the Friends of Veterans, Inc. and Meal on Wheels, both 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that support the local community throughout the year.

The Lifestyle Festival is generously sponsored by Bennett Auto Supply, Florida Public Utilities, Geico, Kravis Center, Lesser Lesser Landy & Smith and 95.9 Seaview Radio.
