December 1: The Delray Beach Historical Society’s special preview of the 2012 Christmas Designer Showcase House will feature decorations dating back to 1915 that were artistically crafted by eight accomplished South County designers. Proceeds will help support society projects, including education programs for elementary-school students. This year’s house is Cason Cottage, 5 NE First St. Opening party at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $75. The house will be open to the public Dec. 2-Jan. 1. Times are noon-4 pm Sundays, 10 am-4 pm Tuesdays-Saturdays and noon-4 pm Jan. 1. Tickets are $15.
