In celebration of Earth Day and in appreciation of all the great things the Sand Sifters do, join us in cleaning up Oceanfront Park the first Saturday in May! Enjoy free activities led by the City of Boynton Beach Recreation & Parks Department and a special turtle talk by Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management Dept. and a special presentation by County Commissioner Steven L. Abrams to the Sand Sifters. The event will feature a beach cleanup, children's activities, free t-shirts (while supplies last), food drive, and free Publix Supermarkets reusable shopping totes (while supplies last). Participants can also donate to the Community Caring Center of Boynton Beach by bringing non-perishable food items such as: peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta, tomato sauce, canned vegetables, and cereal. Saturday, May 1, 2010, 8 -10:30 a.m. at Oceanfront Park, 6415 N. Ocean Blvd. Ocean Ridge. Meet at the pavilion in the lower parking lot. Bring plenty of water, sun screen and a hat.
