The Beach Boys will rock the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with a rare, up-close-and-personal performance in the Center’s intimate Amaturo Theater on Saturday, March 1. The legendary group will headline the Broward Performing Arts’ Foundation’s Annual Celebration to benefit the Center’s education and enrichment programs. Presenting sponsors are long-time Broward Center supporters Charles and Laura Palmer.
In an evening that will be “Fun, Fun, Fun” for everyone, there will be opportunities to participate at two levels: $1,000 for a VIP ticket for the performance and post-show party, and $2,500 for a Celebration ticket for the full evening’s festivities which include an exclusive cocktail reception at 5 p.m. in the Horvitz Lobby, a pre-show dinner at 6:15 p.m. on the Moran Stage in the Au-Rene Theater, The Beach Boys performance in the Amaturo and the post-show party at the Wendt Terraces and Huizenga Pavilion.
For more than half a century, audiences have enjoyed such Beach Boys hits as “Surfin’ USA”, “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “Kokomo,” “Good Vibrations” and “California Girls," all of which have made this band rock & roll royalty for music lovers everywhere. The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago, and John Wedemeyer, continue the legacy of the iconic band. This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.
