“An Abridged History of Agriculture in the Boynton Beach Area: A Farmer's Perspective” 

by Ted Winsberg, Green Cay Wetlands, and Nancy Roe, Green Cay Produce

The program begins with how and why Palm Beach County became one of the country's most important agricultural production areas. We will hear about the changes in commercial vegetable production in Boynton Beach and surrounding communities, especially from the 1950’s to date. The prospects for keeping agricultural production in this area will also be addressed.
