The Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the history and culture of Lake Worth by collecting, organizing and exhibiting artifacts, books, photographs, and other materials which record the development of Lake Worth and the cultural history of the immediate surrounding area.  Their extensive collection of exhibits range from the very large - such as the switchboard from a hotel - to the much smaller - a collection of cameras and medical instruments.

The Museum is located on the 2nd Floor of the Lake Worth City Hall Annex at 414 Lake Ave, Lake Worth. Ph. 561.533.7354.  Hours Wednesday & Friday 1:00pm – 4:00pm Tours by Appointment.

About the Boynton Beach Historical Society

The Boynton Beach Historical Society was founded in 1968.  Our mission is to act as a living repository for Boynton Beach's traditions and history.  We maintain property entrusted to us and collect, preserve and interpret items of historical and antiquarian significance.  The Society seeks to preserve Boynton’s history through a broad spectrum of regular programs and other special events such as guided history strolls and partnering with the City's art celebrations. We have been honored to have programs presented featuring outstanding authors, scholars, dramatists, and others.  Our meetings are held the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m., September-April, except for December.  The meetings are held at the Boynton Beach City Library unless it is closed for a holiday; our alternate location is the Boynton Beach Woman's Club.  Look for us on http://www.boyntonhistory.org/ or on FaceBook at https://www.facebook.com/historicboyntonbeach
