Grammy Nominee, Legendary Songwriter and Boca Raton Resident Dennis Lambert Signing Autographs on Saturday/Playing in Concert on April 22nd

Steve Carell to Play Lambert in Upcoming Warner Brothers Movie

Boca Raton-FL (April 5, 2011)— Dennis Lambert will be signing autographs at Town Center Mall in Boca Raton near the indoor mall entrance to Neiman Marcus on Saturday, April 9th from 1-3.

Lambert, a resident of Boca Raton, is planning a hometown concert to kick off a national tour of his show, He Wrote THAT?! Lambert wrote or produced some of pop music’s biggest hits of the 70’s and 80’s, including “Aint No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got)”, “We Built This City (On Rock and Roll)”, “It Only Takes A Minute (to Fall in Love)”, “One Tin Soldier (the theme from Billy Jack)”, “Nightshift”, “Baby Come Back” and “Rhinestone Cowboy”.  He has been nominated for a Grammy twelve times.  

The concert will be at Florida Atlantic University’s Kaye Auditorium on Friday, April 22 at 8 p.m.  Guest artists include several musicians and singers that made Lambert’s songs famous, including soul music giants Tavares, rock icon Mickey Thomas, the lead singer of Starship, as well as pop legend Peter Beckett, the lead singer of Player and a featured member of the Little River Band.  The concert is being produced by JM Lexus.

Warner Brothers is planning a feature film about Dennis Lambert’s comeback story, starring Steve Carell.  The movie screenplay is currently being written and production is expected to begin in late 2011 or 2012.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased by visiting www.fauevents.com or calling 1-800-564-9539 or by visiting the FAU box office on the Boca Raton campus.  Tickets are $40, $55, $60 and $70.  Onstage tickets are available for $125 and include a meet and greet after the concert.
