JUNIOR LEAGUE OF BOCA RAT AND LOCAL GARDENERS DIG DEEP FOR THE BOCA RATON COMMUNITY GARDEN'S HISTORIC FIRST GROWING SEASON
 
WHO: Junior League of Boca Raton, Whole Foods, local gardeners, businesses, and citizens.
 
WHAT: Junior League of Boca Raton (JLBR) and local gardeners will kick-off the first growing season at the Boca Raton Community Garden.  Founded by the Junior League of Boca Raton through the encouragement of Boca Raton Mayor, Susan Whelchel, the garden's mission is to cultivate the spirit of community and enhance quality of life by creating and sustaining an organic garden of vegetables, flowers, plants, and trees.  A percentage of the produce from the garden will be donated back to Boca Helping Hands furthering the garden's goal of providing a beautiful and natural retreat, while producing a healthy supplemental food source for its gardeners and the hungry.
