Boca Helping Hands will hold its 6th Annual Monopoly Event & Casino Night March 3, 2012
at the beautiful Via Mizner Golf and Country Club located at 6200 Boca Del Mar Drive in Boca Raton (viamiznergcc.com). Last year over $130,000 was raised for Boca Helping Hands, a 501 (c) (3) organization. This is not your ordinary fundraising event! In addition to the fast paced tournament style Monopoly, this is your chance to play classics Casino Gaming including, Texas Hold ‘em, Roulette, and Black Jack. Live music will be performed by the ever popular Ott, Ott and Hull, cocktails and dinner will be served; additionally an amazing silent and live auction will take place including your chance to bid for a ride on the Good Year Blimp!
This MONOPOLY Event was introduced to Boca Helping Hands by Gary Peters in 2007. Mr. Peters, current Board President, is a two time National MONOPOLY Champion. This event has become Boca Helping Hands main fundraising affair of the year. All proceeds benefit the mission of Boca Helping Hands which is to provide compassionate service through food and assistance programs to individuals, families, and children to instill dignity and break the cycle of dependence.
Ticket prices are: $125.00 for one (1) Casino ticket; $300.00 for one (1) Poker player and $1,500.00 for one (1) MONOPLY player with one (1) Casino Guest. (Each guest receives 5,000 in free gaming chips) Tickets will be available the night of the event. Registration and Cocktails begin at 5:30pm.
This year’s event is being chaired by Boca Helping Hands Volunteer, Lou Ann Such. The event committee includes: Karen Swedenborg, Boca Helping Hands Development Manager, Mary Ladd Cope, Pat MacKechnie, Clair McCormick, Diana Mezzanotte, and Elaine Schneider. Decorations at the event are provided by Fringe & Company Event Design & Production (fringeandcompany.com).
