Two Opportunities to Learn and Develop the Fundamentals of Basketball
September 2, 2010: Delray Beach Parks and Recreation offers two opportunities for boys and girls ages, 6 to 17 years old to learn and develop fundamental basketball skills at Catherine Strong and Pompey Parks.
Blazers Basketball Skills Camp
Starting September 13th, Pompey Park will host the Blazer Basketball Skills Camp for girls and boys ages 8 to 17 years old and for all skill levels. The camp will help participants develop skills in dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive techniques. The camp will run for three (3) weeks, Mondays through Thursdays, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The camp cost will be $40 for Delray Beach residents and $50 for non-residents.

Skill Drill Basketball Program
The Catherine Strong Park will host The Skill Drill Basketball program for girls and boys ages 6 to 12 years old starting September 15th. This six (6) week Basketball program will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the basic fundamentals needed to compete in organized team basketball. A variety of innovative drills will be utilized to enhance child development. The Skill Drill Program not only targets children who need help developing basic motor skills, it also is a helpful tool for children to enhance their preexisting basketball skills.
The cost for this six (6) week session will be $20 for Delray Beach residents and $25 for non-residents which covers all the supplies and equipment needed for the program
