Surf’s up! Beginner surf lessons for all ages are September 19, October 3 and October 17 at Oceanfront Park, 6415 N. Ocean Blvd., in Ocean Ridge. Experienced surfer and instructor Reinaldo Schiavinato will focus on the basics, including how to paddle, standup and turn. Lessons for youth ages 6-10 are 8:30 - 10:00 a.m., lesson for ages 11 and over are from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Fees: $31 for non-residents and $25 for residents per surf lesson and include all necessary equipment. Pre-Registration is required for all recreation programs. Registration takes place at Intracoastal Park Clubhouse. Hours: Tuesday – Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Please bring proof of residency when you register and for children a birth certificate is required. The Intracoastal Park Clubhouse is located at 2240 N Federal Highway, just south of Gateway Blvd. For more information call (561) 742-6650.
