Collage artist Richard Vergez will conduct an Artist Lecture and Collage Workshop that is free and open to the public on Saturday, June 17, from 12:002:00pm. In this hands-on workshop, Vergez will discuss the art, inspiration and technique of collage, and participants will have the opportunity to create their own collage with materials provided by the library.

Richard Vergez is a Cuban-American visual artist whose background in graphic design and audio/visual collaboration is reflected though his hand-made collaged works on paper and mixed media. Vergez worked in New York as member of the Brooklyn Collage Collective. His art has been featured at No Romance Galleries in NYC, Chicago Urban Arts Society and Kids of Dada in London, as well as numerous blogs and international publications, such as PluzUltra in Argentina, Mekanik Copulaire from France, Juxtapoz and Stylesight in the US. Vergez currently resides and works in South Florida.
