A NIGHT OF FUN IN DELRAY BEACH WITH ART & JAZZ, 5TH AVE JAZZ AND MYSTERY SCAVENGER HUNT
Downtown Delray Beach kicks off its Fall 2009 special events calendar with an evening of music, art and adventure from 6-10 pm on Thursday, October 22. Three events are planned:
o Art & Jazz on the Avenue: Scheduled to play in strategically located venues along Atlantic Avenue are Hook, Rico-Percussive, Davis & Dow, Ron Bivona, Blackberry Jam and a Latin Jazz group. Local artists will be showcased outdoors in the 400 and 500 blocks of and in the various art galleries along the Avenue, the Heart of Delray Beach’s Downtown Art District.
o 5th Ave Jazz: Joe Wright and Pure Justice, A’rizn and Derek the DJ will provide the musical entertainment along NW/SW 5th Avenue. Spady Cultural Heritage Museum will host the closing reception for its popular “Pahokee Prepares for War” photographic exhibit.
o Mystery Scavenger Hunt in Pineapple Grove Arts District: Clues will be hidden throughout Pineapple Grove as up to 200 participants work to solve the mystery. Registration begins at 5:30 pm at 200 NE 2nd Avenue, Suite 101. Those who prefer to watch the mayhem will also enjoy musical entertainment from Hot Pursuit and the John Cat Band.
Admission is free to all three events.

Atlantic Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. between Swinton Avenue and NE/SE Seventh Avenue.
The next Arts & Jazz is scheduled for December 3, which is also the night of the lighting of the Famous 100-Foot Christmas Tree.
