The American Association for Wartime Veterans will host a seminar on "Aid & Attendance Benefit" at The Carlisle Palm Beach June 2, 2010 Lantana, Florida -- The Carlisle Palm Beach, a luxury retirement community in Lantana, will host a seminar on "Aid & Attendance Benefit" for families of wartime veterans and surviving spouses on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 2:ooPM. This seminar is open to the public and will be presented by a professional member of The American Association for Wartime Veterans (AAWV). Guests who attend will learn about VA benefits and the application process; how to become eligible even if you exceed the limits; and what benefits you might be entitled to. This little-known benefit is for Veterans who served during a period of war, and who need some assistance with activities of daily living. It is a fully funded program of the Veterans Administration. According to the AAWV, wartime veterans may qualify for up to $1,644 monthly, and surviving spouses may receive up to $1,056. To reserve your seat or for more information, please call (561) 533-9440. The American Association for Wartime Veterans was founded in 2002 and was the first privately held organization to assist veterans with the Aid and Attendance Benefit. Their goal is to educate one million veterans and surviving spouses by the end of the year 2013. To date, 250,000 veterans, surviving spouses, and their family members have been educated nationwide. Also, 145 million dollars, collectively has been paid out in benefit as a result of their educational efforts.
