AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL:
A Celebration of American Wine and Cuisine
On Sunday August 25th at 4 pm, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in downtown Lake Worth will present its 8th annual summer wine and cuisine event. Entitled “America the Beautiful” the tasting will include traditional dishes representing our nation’s many regions: New England, the Southwest, California, the Pacific Northwest, the Deep South, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Florida and New Orleans. Among the menu items are: New England Seafood Chowder, Chili, Salmon Mousse, Barbecued Pork with fresh-baked yeast rolls , Gumbo and Dirty Rice, Chicken and Dumplings, Sausages with California Wine and Roasted Grapes, Sweet Potato Pie, Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie and Blueberry Crisp. The regional specialties will be paired with vintages from our nation’s vineyards, selected especially for this event by St. Andrew’s resident sommelier, Don Todorich.
