LANTANA HOST TO ALZHEIMER’S ACTION DAY RESEARCH UPDATE.
Join the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeast Florida and Vi At Lakeside Village for Alzheimer’s Action Day tomorrow (Wednesday, September 21st) for a special Alzheimer’s Research Update. This event will feature leading scientists and doctors from our area including Mark L Brody, M.D. of Brain Matters Research, Peter J. Holland, M.D. of Florida Atlantic University, Carl H. Sadowsky, M.D., FAAN of Palm Beach Neurology and Premiere Research Institute, and Michael M. Tuchman, M.D., FAAN of Palm Beach Neurological Center.
Legislative Assistants to Florida Representative Mark Pafford and Senator Maria Sachs will also be in attendance, and will discuss how the government is helping to battle this disease.
“We are very proud to host this program at our community. The search for a cure to this disease is critical and we are pleased to do our part in promoting awareness,” said Penny Smith, Executive Director of Vi At Lakeside Village. The event will be held at Vi At Lakeside Village, located at 2792 Donnelly Drive, Lantana, FL 3342 from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
The Southeast Florida Chapter enhances efforts for researching a cure and provides support and educational services to over 200,000 Alzheimer’s patients, families and caregivers in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Monroe, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties.
