In keeping with The SYMPHONIA’s theme this season of celebrating women in the arts, the world-class chamber orchestra will honor six Palm Beach County women who have made a difference in local philanthropy. On Saturday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m., ‘A Symphony of Voices: A Celebration of Women in Philanthropy’ will take place at Roberts Theater at St. Andrews School, 3900 Jog Road, Boca Raton. The event will include gourmet bites, beverages and a performance by world-renowned pianist Marika Bournaki. Tickets are $50 per person.

Honorees include Kathy Adkins, President, Impact 100; Sally Berenzweig, Chief Development Officer & Co-Founder, KidSafe Foundation; Nicolette Goldfarb, Board Member, Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County; Lisa McDulin, Director of Advancement, Place of Hope; Judi Schuman, Financial Resource Development Chair, Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County; and Stephanie Tunis, Public Affairs Chair, Junior League of Boca Raton.

“Our honorees for ‘A Symphony of Voices’ are some of  Palm Beach County’s most influential women in philanthropy – women who embody the same spirit as the suffragettes who fought for the vote 100 years ago--seeking to empower the powerless and give a voice to the voiceless,” said Annabel Russell, Executive Director, The Symphonia.

Celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment during its 2019-2020 season, The Symphonia has put women – conductors, soloists and composers – at the center of each performance of its Connoisseur Concert Series. Included among these talented women was Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, the first woman to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize for music, who will attend ‘A Symphony of Voices.’ This celebration of exceptional women is the culmination of The Symphonia’s season.

The final concert of the Marleen Forkas 2019-2020 Connoisseur Concert Series
Celebrating Women in Music will take place on Sunday, March 29, and will feature Conductor Laura Jackson, Piano Soloist Marika Bournaki and Composer Julia Adolph.

Tickets to ‘A Symphony of Voices’ are $50 and include two cocktails. Dress for the event is business casual. Tickets are available at thesymphonia.org or by calling 561-376-3848 or emailing tickets@thesymphonia.org.
