Young aspiring performers will have the opportunity to develop their on-camera acting and auditioning techniques, as well as receive one-on-one coaching when the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts hosts a one-day workshop with Manhattan’s award-winning acting studio, A Class Act NY.
The workshop, for ages 8-16, will be held Sunday, September 11th in the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion. From 12:30 pm-4 pm, students will work with casting professional Rikki Gimelstob of Telsey + Company Casting, honing skills for performing on-camera slides (audition scenes), receiving coaching and feedback, and performing mock auditions. Each student will walk away with a personalized feedback form from Gimelstob herself.
During the A Class Act NY event, Gimelstob will also work with students to develop authentic, believable characters for the camera, and coach them in booking a TV series, film or commercial.
The workshop fee is $195.00 for kids and teens ages 8-16. To request a registration form, please email Ali Rehm at rehm@kravis.org. For more information on the program, please call 561-651-4376.
