We honor Museum Members for their support over seventy years of art and art education with a continental brunch and preview of fall exhibitions that underscore the Museum’s commitment to our community and the environment. Maren Hassinger: Tree of Knowledge is inspired by Pearl City’s iconic banyan tree that has become a historical marker in this neighborhood settled by African-Americans. Clifford Ross: Waves features monumental photographs captured by the artist in raging surf during hurricanes, as well as an LED piece with advanced computer modeling and animation that dramatically captures the movement of waves.
