Hearing holiday songs on the radio and in stores certainly makes the season festive, but nothing is as heart-warming as hearing 50 young voices sing their favorite carols. Next Saturday, December 19th, Indian Pines Elementary School will put on a live holiday concert at the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum sponsored by the Palm Beach County Cultural Council. Between “Rudolph” and “Frosty,” they’ll sing inspiring renditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa tunes beginning at 2pm.
Grandparents, parents, children and friends can enjoy the chilly weather and time together by arriving early for arts and crafts, staying later to visit with Santa from 3pm – 5pm, or playing in the snow on the lawn all day long. All holiday activities are free with admission to the Museum, making this fun weekend festival affordable for the whole family. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for grandparents, and $3 for children ages 2+.
The Schoolhouse Children’s Museum & Learning Center makes Florida’s history come alive for children and families though hands-on activities and interactive play. A 501(c)3 organization, the Museum is located in Boynton Beach, in a 1913 schoolhouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For more information, visit www.schoolhousemuseum.org .
