 1st Annual Cow Pies for Education - at Old School Square, 51 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach. A family fun day event. A field of 100' x 100' will be marked and broken up into 2' x 2' squares for a total of 2,500 plots of land. Participants can purchase a "plot" for $10 each, after which they will randomly select a ticket out of a raffle drum which gives them a number. At 4:45 pm a number is randomly selected which will indicate the spot the cow will be led to. At 5 pm, the cow will be led to his starting spot and permitted to roam the land. The first plot of land that the cow pie falls on is the $5,000 winner. Featuring live music, games, face painting. Presented by the Delray Beach Education Foundation and the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce. 3-7 pm. $10/plot; free for spectators.
